House with a meadow view
A tall living room, concrete, natural textures and a restrained palette form a house open to a quiet landscape.
View interiorHOUSE
The renovation of an existing villa by the forest brought together retained elements of the house with a contemporary layout and fittings. The project covered an extended home for a large family, with private rooms and places meant for spending time together.
New did not have to mean starting from scratch.
The starting point was an existing building that was adapted to new needs during the extension. Elements that still worked well were kept, while new solutions were subordinated to how the whole house would function.
Bedrooms, bathrooms, a home cinema and a billiard room serve different purposes, yet remain part of one whole. Materials and fittings organise the extended programme without creating separate stylistic worlds.
