HOUSE
The pine forest outside is central to this home near Kraków. Rather than arranging the living room around a television, the layout turns towards the glazing. The part presented here is the 140-square-metre ground floor.
Minimalism did not have to feel cold.
Concrete, oak veneer and stone form the main palette. Full-height joinery conceals some of the doorways, while the sofa adds colour.
The design connects the living and dining areas through materials and proportions, keeping the garden in view. A small number of distinct elements gives each texture and detail room to be noticed.
The house has to work day to day — from the living area to the bathroom. Each decision supports function, not decoration.
